Reopening – Tours are back!

Portadown Heritage Tours are pleased to announce that we are reopening for Tours on Tuesday 25th May. Tours can be booked online through our website. We have been working behind the scenes to improve our current range of Tours and we have added more options to suit everyone.

Portadown Heritage Tours are currently in the process of developing new Tours of the local area through our current project funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

A few top tips

As we prepare for reopening, we would just like to remind visitors of a few top tips for coming on Tours.

  • Always dress for the weather and be prepared for a change in weather.
  • Arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of the tour.
  • If the weather is particularly bad or weather warnings are in place, outdoor tours may be cancelled.
  • Wear appropriate footwear.
  • Maintain social distancing, outside household bubbles, while in a tour group.
  • Tour groups have been reduced in number.
  • The town tours require a level of Motability but can be adapted for wheelchair users.

Changes to Tours Available

Our Carleton Street Orange Hall and Heritage Centre Tour is now available as Guided and Unguided. We have also introduced a tour package aimed at Loyal Order groups. This includes tour, a room for a meeting and refreshments. A similar option is available for community groups.

For the Town Tour we have introduced a Basic and Intensive Tour Package. Full details are available on the booking page.
